Check out this really cool mobile phone from designer Yun Liang. It’s still only a concept, so don’t pull out those credit cards just yet.
When the phone is not in use, the display neatly rolls into the tube. All numeric key functions remain on the outside of the scroll as opposed to touchscreen. This makes it possible to use without having to unroll the screen. You would only do so when accessing media and data.

Interesting concept, however, I don’t think that people would be that into something like this. I think it’s more likely that projection technology will be ready for use in this type of application before roll out screens will be… Just a thought…

Did you see the blog we wrote a week or so on the projection phones?

This looks to complicated to use. It’s also important for buyers that the gadgets must be user-friendly! Don’t make it hard for grandma

Thanks for sharing the interesting concept. We’ll see whether it is practical to use. Most of us are used to our old ways and seemed difficult to open to change though.

Probably a cool thing right away, but I don’t think it would sell too much.. Not very userfriendly…doesn’t look like it anyway
